How It Works

  1. 1. Book your first session

Book through Calendly. Your first session is a one hour paid tutoring session, and a chance for us to meet.

  2. 2. Attend your session

Meet one on one online and work through your course material together.

  3. 3. Choose how to continue

After your first session, there are two options:

    • Recurring weekly sessions: contact Brett and he will provide more information.
    • Sessions as needed: keep booking through the Calendly link.

FAQ

How do I book my first session?

Book through the Calendly link on this page. Your first session is a one hour paid tutoring session, and a chance for us to meet.

How much does tutoring cost?

$60 per hour, payable by e-transfer.

How do I pay?

After your session, Brett emails you an invoice for that session ("Here is the invoice for today's session!"), and you pay by e-transfer.

Are sessions online or in person?

Online only. Brett attends school in BC, so he is unable to offer in-person sessions. "I've been tutoring online for seven years and have found it to be highly engaging and effective for students."

How long is each session?

One hour.

Is the first session a commitment to continue?

No. "The initial session can serve as an opportunity for us to determine whether we're a good fit and whether you'd like to continue tutoring with me throughout the semester."

What happens after my first session?

Two options: book recurring weekly sessions by contacting Brett for more information, or keep booking sessions as needed through the Calendly link.

Can I have more than one session per week?

Yes. "You're welcome to schedule one or two sessions per week."

What will we work on in a session?

Your own class material. "Usually, it is best to work from the notes provided in class" and "Practice questions are often a great way to review and explain concepts as they come up!"

What should I send before a session?

Your class notes and any practice questions. You can send a PDF, or simply take pictures if you only have a hard copy; pictures can be texted to Brett at 587-783-4967.

Who do you tutor?

Students in any grade, as well as university students, including students at universities across Alberta.

What if I need to reschedule?

Contact Brett by email, call, or text, and he will help you find another time.
